BakerAECOM, LLC, comprises industry leaders and National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) veterans who support FEMA as Production and Technical Service provider on the Risk MAP program.
BakerAECOM provides engineering, outreach, and technical services including:
- Producing effectual, flexible, and sustainable Risk MAP products that meet user needs;
- Improving communities’ and individuals’ understanding of flood risk and hazard information by strengthening partnerships; and
- Reducing losses in communities by promoting Risk MAP products.

Michael Baker Corporation has a 40-year history with the NFIP and led the National Service Provider program management team for Flood Map Modernization (Map Mod). Baker developed innovations including new and higher standards for delivering and communicating digital flood hazard data and producing digital flood maps. The standards and tools that Baker developed allowed FEMA’s mapping partners to produce flood maps cost effectively. Baker is the managing partner of BakerAECOM. |
